1.1 Purpose of Financial Coaching
The purpose of financial coaching is to provide support, guidance, and education to help you build positive financial habits, improve financial literacy, increase confidence, and develop personal financial strategies.
1.2 Scope of Services
Facilitated discussions on budgeting, saving, debt management, and financial goal setting
Support in understanding financial products and services at a general, educational level
Facilitated discussions around risk appetite, financial behaviours, and long-term planning
Support to build confidence in making informed financial decisions
The services provided are educational in nature.
1.3 Coach Responsibilities
Provide unbiased, confidential, and non-judgmental support
Offer education to improve financial understanding
Facilitate discussion to help clarify goals, priorities, and options
1.4 Client Responsibilities
Be open and honest about your financial situation and goals
Take full responsibility for all financial decisions and actions
Complete any agreed actions between sessions
Understand that coaching does not replace advice from an FCA-authorised financial adviser, tax professional, or solicitor
Seek clarification immediately if at any stage you feel you are being told how to spend money or allocate wealth
1.5 Confidentiality
All personal and financial information shared during coaching sessions will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without prior consent, except where disclosure is required by law. Personal information will be retained for no longer than five (5) years unless otherwise agreed or legally required.
1.6 Termination of the Coaching Relationship
Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time, with or without notice.
1.7 Session Logistics and Fees
Session Frequency: One initial session, with follow-up sessions by mutual agreement
Duration: One-hour minimum, with 20-minute increments up to a maximum of two (2) hours per session.
Fees: £80 for the initial hour, plus £20 per additional 20-minute period
1.8 Limitations of Services (Important)
I am a money mentor and financial coach. I am not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
I do not:
Provide regulated financial advice, manage client assets or make decisions on your behalf
Make personal investment, pension, or insurance recommendations, provide tax or legal advice
I will not advise you on how to allocate your money or recommend specific financial products, providers, or services. My role is to facilitate informed discussion, enhance your financial understanding, and support progress towards the personal financial goals you set for yourself.
If you believe that any discussion or information constitutes a personal recommendation specific to your circumstances, you should seek clarification immediately and, where appropriate, consult an FCA-authorised adviser.
1.9 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
I shall not be liable for any financial loss arising from decisions you make

By engaging my services, you confirm that:
You understand I do not provide regulated financial advice
You are seeking education and coaching only
You will not rely on my services as a substitute for professional financial advice
You agree to:
Provide accurate information
Communicate openly and respectfully
Take responsibility for your decisions
3. Disclaimer
I am a money mentor and financial educator, not a financial adviser. I am not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Any information provided is for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as financial advice. You should seek independent advice from an FCA-authorised adviser before making financial decisions.

I am the data controller for personal data collected through my business.

Name and contact details, session notes, financial information you choose to share, correspondence.
4.3 Lawful Basis for Processing
Personal data is processed under:

Data is stored securely and protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures, including password protection and encryption where appropriate.
4.5 Data Retention
Data is retained only for as long as necessary, typically up to 6 years for business records unless otherwise required.

Access your data, request correction or deletion, object to processing, lodge a complaint with the ICO

6. Complaints Procedure
Please contact me in writing outlining your concern. I aim to respond within 5 working days.
As I am not FCA-regulated, complaints cannot be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
7. Safeguarding & Vulnerability Policy
I recognise that financial difficulty may be linked to vulnerability.
I will:
Act professionally and respectfully
Pause or stop sessions if appropriate
Refer clients to specialist support (e.g. debt charities, mental health services)
I do not provide crisis intervention or therapeutic support.
8. Equality & Accessibility Statement
I am committed to providing services that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible.
I do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
Reasonable adjustments will be made where possible.
9. Referral Boundary Statement
Where a client requires regulated advice or specialist support, I may suggest contacting:
An FCA-authorised financial adviser
Free debt advice organisations
Other appropriate professionals
I do not receive referral fees unless explicitly disclosed.
